I love a simple yet elegant look. I mainly stuck with neutrals but then added a pop of my favorite color blue within the decorations.
The acrylic signs and wedding party mirror were DIY, made by myself. The ceremony arbor was made by a friend. Kelly Catron our wedding planner helped with the coordination and design of the rest of the decorations and setup. I tried to keep it simple yet elegant.
I chose the classic look of white flowers with greenery. I am very thankful for the groom’s aunt (Nancy Gaddy) who personally arranged every beautiful flower arrangement, bouquet and boutonnière.
I absolutely loved our personalized labels we got for the La Marca Prosecco bottles. The light blue labels matched perfectly with all the other decorations. We also had the cutest homemade cookies my aunt (Jill McAuley) decorated to look like our two dogs Yeti and Bubba.
Do not settle for a dress just because you feel tired and overwhelmed from trying so many on. I probably tried on over 20 dresses at multiple different stores before I found the one. I had been to quite a few bridal stores before I went to Studio I Do in Virginia Beach. Instantly upon walking into their store I felt at ease. Everyone had a wealth of knowledge and truly listened to your likes and dislikes about different dresses. The manager of their store asked if she could pick out a dress she thought I would love. The instant I saw my reflection I knew it was the perfect dress. Do your research and ask other people their experiences at bridal stores before looking.
We first met in the small town of Danville, Virginia. Adam had just started his internal medicine residency program at a hospital there and I was a physician assistant student placed on his team. Adam first caught my eye as he was the only person in the hospital that wore his cowboy boots daily with a suit. I had been commuting from North Carolina each day until one day my car broke down. Adam quickly informed me he had come from a background of car mechanics and would have my car fixed in no time. His Tennessee southern charm quickly won me over and we were inseparable thereafter.
I was most excited for our first look! It was truly amazing and our photographer captured the moment in a beautiful and unique way.
Get a wedding planner! Even if it is just a person for the day of coordination, I promise it will make the process so much easier. It rained for about 15 minutes at our reception and we felt very lucky to have the team from Gigi Noelle Events there. Immediately they moved cushions and other items till the rain passed. They also magically had a translucent umbrella, which made for some fun bride and groom pictures.
